Our client is an international law firm with a reputation as a world-leading Employment Law practice. They were short-listed for International Employment Law Team of the Year at the 2023 IEL Awards.

MLR Careers is supporting them in the appointment of a talented  Associate (3+ years’ PQE) to directly support a highly experienced Partner on a mix of non-contentious and contentious work.

The firm’s growth has been dynamic, and this trajectory is set to continue. As a result there is plenty of opportunity for career progression and you could expect promotion inside 18 to 24 months.

The Role

The firm has particular strengths in the tech, pharma and life sciences sectors where they advise across the full spectrum of employment law, including workforce restructuring, investigations, business immigration and global mobility, policy advice, incentives and benefits, and trade secrets.

You will be supporting the Employment Law Partner in all aspects of employment law, including risk assessment and mitigation, WRC hearings, mediations, and civil court proceedings.

You will be involved in the coordination of cross-border multi-jurisdictional projects, including restructurings and compliance projects, and will provide support to the Corporate Mergers & Acquisitions team.

The Person

You will have:

• A consistently strong excellent academic record, evidenced by results and published articles/journals.


• Solid training in a law firm environment.


• Good litigation experience.


• Experience handling complex employment matters.


• A team-oriented, collaborative approach.
